Philosophy
We take an interpersonal approach to our training, and value the relationship as a keystone of the educational facilitation. We seek to understand more about ourselves, which helps us to understand others.
This gained trust and understanding within the relationship not only increases the level of productivity from a health and fitness standpoint, it improves the social wellbeing of both individuals. At Shieldsport the trainer and the client are truly united to reach success in all realms of health.
Through more than a decade of vast and varied personal experiences, Shieldsport has sought to understand how, why, and what it is that differentiates us all on any given day, circumstance, or activity. We have made the mistakes, and learned the lessons, we want you to learn through us.
Interpersonal
This area has to do with interaction with others. People who have a high interpersonal intelligence tend to be extroverts, characterized by their sensitivity to others’ moods, feelings, temperaments and motivations, and their ability to cooperate in order to work as part of a group. They communicate effectively and empathize easily with others, and may be either leaders or followers. They typically learn best by working with others and often enjoy discussion and debate.
